This effort has gone cold as Andy found that doing good works in Haiti to be more complicated and he was unable to establish an acceptable approach.

Still working to create a non profit

As I prepare for another trip to Haiti, work is still underway to create a non profit to handle the money. I was able to provide money to Pastor Yoyo to complete the water distribution system to the school.

Great Trip

I spent 5 weeks in Haiti. I was able to get the well and pump put in. I worked with the English Club and the community organization. Much work remains. I am current working with Wyoming Haiti Relief to see about establishing a non profit to expand the work in Haiti.

Capacity Building

The problems of Haiti can seem overwhelming but by focusing on one community and following the leads and interests of the people of Maissade progress can be made. Andy Aldrich hopes that his trip in Oct of 2010 will provide solid enough connections to move forward into forming a non-profit board to support the work. Current funds for the projects are being handled by the Grace United Methodist Church of Cheyenne.
